You can only lose "1 food" because the amount of food you have in storage is expressed in units of "the amount of food I need to feed everyone for 1 turn". So yes, when you have no food production, it drops by 1. If you hover over the food it will show you the detailed calculations. You can certainly buy food from caravans, but buying it all is normally not a winning strategy.

Bandits generally only attack quite local to their base. Sometimes they do come in and attack for real though, or steal your outlying units (explorers, prospectors, etc). They are quite weak, so even an archer can generally fight them off.

The other tribes are usually quite passive, I agree. I think it needs more work to make them more dynamic.

The left resource area is still not good when you get to late game

In better news, I have played hundreds of turns in my current game, am snowballing ridiculously, but have seen no major bugs at all, just a few minor UI irritations.

Start the game, pick new game, choose Alemanni, crash.

Not repeatable, game works properly the second time I try.

It also happens that I get the tutorial (of one sort or another) pops up whenever I load a game. Suggests that the fact it has already been shown is not being saved.

Same problem in 0.9.6, see Salt

SMALL is not the right descriptor

I took over the settlement from my neighbours, sending a man at arms to kill their army and sit on their settlement. I got a message that I had unlocked them for the next game...nice. From there, I was very unsure what was happening and what to do. I found I could get my fighting unit to 'enter the settlement', but couldn't then get it out. The settlement stayed there, and never seemed to go away. I hoovered up all their tribes and made them my own. It all felt very unclear what I was supposed to do and how to rid myself of the other tribe completely.

When you get triple figure amounts of stuff, it sticks out too far over the table width. See resources in screenshot.

Created my first knight in this game, seems like the most likely trigger, but not sure.
Nope, changed the turn and it isn't the creation of the Knight that is causing the crash. Still crashes though.

First time I have seen them, wanted to see how strong they are

AtG - Bug Reports / Re: 0.9.3 Declaring Kingdom causes crash

Same as last time, declaring Kingdom from the save does NOT cause a crash the second time, but it does hide the cursor and make the game unplayable until it is saved, quit and restarted.
